How do I know this floor lamp will fit my space?
Check two things: the lamp's height and the footprint of its base, both listed in the specifications above. Most floor lamps sit best beside a sofa, armchair or bed, or in an empty corner that needs warmth. If you send us your room dimensions and a quick photo, we're happy to advise on placement before you order.
What height should I go for?
As a rule of thumb, the bottom of the shade should sit at or just above eye level when you're seated, roughly 95 to 150cm from the floor, so the bulb never glares at you. Taller arched models are designed to reach over furniture, so allow for their full curve when measuring.
Will it work in a small room?
Usually better than you'd expect. A floor lamp adds light and height without using furniture surfaces, and soft diffused designs make small rooms feel larger rather than cluttered. Check the base dimensions if floor space is tight.

How bright is it? Will it light up the whole room?
Each product page lists the recommended lighting area. Most floor lamps are designed as ambient or accent lighting, ideal for evenings and cosy corners. If it's your room's main light source, choose a brighter bulb or pair it with other lighting.
Is it dimmable?
It varies by model, check the specifications above. Where a lamp isn't dimmable, a smart or dimmable bulb with remote or app control adds the same flexibility and works with any of our plug-in floor lamps.
Are bulbs included?
Most of our lights and lamps come with bulbs included. Where a bulb is included, it's stated in the specifications. If not, we list the exact bulb type and maximum wattage so you can buy the right one easily.
Warm or cool light — what should I choose?
Warm white (2700 to 3000K) gives a soft, cosy glow, ideal for living rooms and bedrooms and the most popular choice for floor lamps. Neutral white (3500 to 4500K) is closer to daylight, better for reading corners and home offices. Cool white (5000 to 6500K) is bright and crisp, best suited to workspaces.
Installation & Safety
Is it hardwired or plug-in?
Our floor lamps are plug-in and come with a standard UK three pin plug. Place it, plug it in and switch on. No electrician needed.
Is assembly required?
Most floor lamps need light assembly, typically attaching the shade and slotting the stem or legs together. Allow around fifteen to thirty minutes, and take extra care when unpacking delicate shade materials such as fabric, paper or glass.
How heavy is it? Do I need special ceiling support?
Most ceilings can support standard light fixtures when installed correctly with the right fixings. For heavier pendants and clusters, or if your ceiling is older, plasterboard, or lath-and-plaster, an electrician can confirm the right anchors or whether additional support is needed.
Is assembly required?
Many pendant lights require some assembly — attaching shades, connecting cables, fitting glass or crystal elements. If assembly is needed, you'll find details above. We recommend setting aside an hour or two depending on the model.
Is it stable? What about children and pets?
Our floor lamps use weighted bases designed to stay steady on any flat floor. As with any freestanding light, we suggest placing taller or arched models out of busy walkways if you have energetic pets or little ones.

Can I return an item if I change my mind?
Yes. You can request a return within 30 days of delivery, as long as the item is unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.

Who pays for return shipping?
- Change-of-mind returns: return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
- Faulty/damaged items: we will make it right — return shipping may be covered depending on the case and item type.
Do I have to return the item to get a refund?
For change-of-mind returns, yes — we process refunds after the item is returned and inspected.
For damaged or faulty items, we first offer replacement parts or a replacement unit and, in some cases, we may not require a return (depending on the situation and evidence provided).
What condition must the item be in?
Returned items must be:
- unused and uninstalled
- in original packaging (including all parts/accessories/manuals)
- packed securely to avoid damage in transit
Items showing signs of use, installation, or missing parts may be subject to a deduction or may not be eligible for a full refund.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are usually processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method. Banks can take additional time to show the funds (typically a few days).
What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- photos of the outer packaging
- photos/videos clearly showing the issue
We’ll offer the best solution quickly: replacement parts, replacement item, partial refund, or full refund depending on the situation.
What if something is missing from my order?
If any part is missing, contact us within 48h of delivery with your order number and photos. We’ll ship the missing part(s) as soon as possible.
What if my return gets lost in transit?
We strongly recommend using a tracked return service and keeping proof of postage. If a return is lost, proof of postage/tracking is required for us to investigate and support the claim.
Can I cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t been dispatched, we can usually cancel it. Once dispatched, cancellation may not be possible — but you can still request a return after delivery.
